It will also include the second presentation of of the Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards.

Authors James Loewen and Bob Welch will be the keynote speakers. Evenings will feature historic Oregon films or films about Oregon history. The public is invited to a free conference event on May 5. The free public event is the first showing in Eugene of the film, "On Paper Wings." The screening will take place at 8 p.m.

The Oregon Heritage Commission is the primary sponsor of the conference, with assistance from the Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries, the State Historic Preservation Office, and heritage organizations and agencies in the Eugene-Springfield area.
